Official Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Division of Placement: Cyber Support

Supervisor: Assistant Director of Cyber Support

Job Description: The human resource coordinator is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Annually reviews and makes recommendations to senior leadership for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
  • Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
  • Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
  • Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
  • Creates a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date.
  • Investigates employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution.

Recommended Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in in a relevant field, such as human resources, business or even finance. Coursework in information technology and conflict management can be helpful as well. A Human Resources Manager does not usually need certifications, but professional associations such as The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) provide programs for voluntary certifications that may make candidates more appealing.
