Global Roots is a farming program of Lutheran Family Services that supports refugee and New American farmers in gaining access to land, growing their cultural crops, and accessing on-going technical farming support. We have four community farm locations. We are preparing for the 2021 growing season and need help cleaning up the farm plots!
- Duties include:
- Picking up/removing trash,
- picking up and removing tree debris,
- raking,
- pruning small trees,
- and laying compost.
- Covid Safety:
- All work is outdoors.
- Social distanced.
- Masks required.
- Requirements:
- Must have an understanding of cultural and religious differences and boundaries.
- Understanding of and ability to work with persons of diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Commitment to the mission of Lutheran Family Services.
- Bring gloves, rakes, pruners/clippers if you have them.
- Must be flexible in case of inclement weather.
