Well, this has certainly been the year. We were working on Digital Marketing, Video Production, and Web Development at our physical location. Then COVID hit....we have had to pivot pretty significantly to doing virtual training to help our youth.

If you take a look at https://peakwebdev.org you'll see where we currently are focusing. If you are working in Graphic Design and or Web Design and would like to help youth that are working towards employment (either freelance or formal employment) please reach out with availability/ideas/suggestions/etc

Thank you!!

About EVOLVE YOU FOUNDATION

Location:

1079 Sunrise Blvd Ste B-121, Roseville, CA 95661, US

Mission Statement

We Facilitate the Development of Transitional Aged Youth By Providing the Education and Tools Needed to Thrive in Today's World.

Description

Evolve YOU Foundation has built the first entrepreneurial "incubator" in the nation, providing certification for digital & video marketing, podcasting, and radio broadcasting to at-risk emancipated foster youth. Then COVID-19 hit. We've had to pivot a few times to try and help our population. Volunteers are needed more than ever!

Youth at risk, specifically those aging out of foster care programs, are statistically inclined towards early homelessness, crime, imprisonment, and teen parenthood.

Evolve YOU Foundation works with local public services to recruit emancipated foster-youth and at-risk teens between the ages of seventeen and twenty-one, with the goal of providing free occupational training and accreditation that can be applied to multiple fields of employment. The Foundation’s 4200 sq-ft facility is equipped with features such as a 50-person classroom, digital conference/training rooms, kitchen, and other resources from multiple industry-leading digital marketing companies. Brian named this location "The Practice" to serve as a constant reminder that "practice makes perfect" and perfection is not achieved overnight. Sometimes the hardest battle these teens face is internally accepting that they are worth more than what they have been given and The Practice serves as a space for them to "practice," create, learn, and grow towards a concrete, and executable goal.
