Do you want to help children in your community have a better life? Then we are the place for YOU! We need members/volunteers like you to join us in our work supporting at-risk children in our community. With no paid staff, we rely on our membership to provide direct volunteering in our thrift shop, taking on leadership roles etc. Membership to begin your volunteer work is open to anyone who desires to serve others in a valuable and rewarding way through our philanthropic programs. We have an auxiliary that meets evenings and weekends for adults with limited weekday hours, a membership for adults with time during the week, and a teen auxiliary for 7 - 12 graders.
We offer tours monthly for you to discover if this is the volunteer work for you! We invite you to join us on a tour by emailing us at allvnewmemberorientation@gmail.com or by going to our website allv.org and choosing the Volunteer tab.
Best of all, no skills needed, we train our volunteers in their area of interest.

Description
Assistance League of Las Vegas, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is a 100% volunteer/member run organization, with no paid staff and has been serving the Las Vegas community for more than 42 years. Membership is open to any individual regardless of race, color, creed, or ethnic background. We have three opportunities for joining us: Assistance League of Las Vegas membership fulfills the daily running of our organization; Desert Sage Auxiliary is for those who have limited weekday hours but want to join and give back to their community; Assisteens Auxiliary membership is for teens in grades seven through twelve.
Our many philanthropic programs include giving out new clothing to school-aged children in need, baby clothes to agencies serving at-risk expectant mothers, scholarships to high school students with financial needs, items of need for at-risk high school students through other agencies, puppeteer program for elementary aged students on topics such as bullying, divorce and disabilities, books to at-risk early education programs, and items for pediatric hospital patients.
