Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Uhuru Furniture. We are a non profit with deep roots in Oakland and our goal is to create economic self reliance to the black community.
In order to fulfil that goal, we need your assistance. We are looking for a warehouse space to house our excess furniture and host our monthly warehouse sales and painting workshops!
We're looking looking for volunteer drivers who have their own cars and have a valid driver's license who want to drive around the East Bay Area looking for available locations.
You will be given a map and a predetermined route! If you're looking to make quick volunteer hours OR you have some spare time this could be a great opportunity for you!

Description
Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles is a non-profit store that is a fundraiser for black community empowerment programs of APEDF. We receive a truck load of donated furniture and household items every day. This is a lively, popular Grand Lake area store staffed mostly by volunteers. When you volunteer at Uhuru Furniture, you not only contribute to the success of the store, you become part of a larger movement for peace through social justice. People shop at Uhuru Furniture for low priced, top quality items and to support crucial programs for social justice for African people.
