We are looking for female, Spanish-speaking volunteers who are willing to tutor in-person at one of Bethany's group homes for our refugee teenage girls. Volunteers must be at least 21 and willing to commit to a minimum of 6 months of tutoring. Tutors work with their student for one, 1-hour session every week. Most of the refugee youth at this group home are between the ages of 16-18 and in ESL classes at their local public school. Tutoring sessions primarily focus on homework help or other schoolwork.

That’s why we guide, protect, advocate for, and support refugees. In the U.S., we offer resettlement and continued support services in strategic locations.
Bethany Christian Services' Refugee and Immigrant Services program encompasses adult and family resettlement as well as refugee foster care for Unaccompanied Children and Unaccompanied Refugee Minors. Our services for unaccompanied refugee youth include case management, counseling, housing (foster homes, group homes, independent living), classes (New Arrival, Life Skills, driver's training), and volunteer mentoring and tutoring.
