Volunteers of America in Reno is looking for volunteers to help staff our Resource Center so that our clients can access services. The VOA Resource Center, located at Reno's Community Assistance Center, helps people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. The Center is equipped with computers, telephones, a mail center, resource information, and directories.
Resource Center volunteers will help:
- sort and distribute mail
- find resources to post in the Center
- answer phones and complete other clerical tasks
- support the staff working in the Center
- greet clients and help them access services

Description
The Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada operates more than 40 programs including housing, employment services, substance abuse and recovery services to families, individuals, veterans, seniors, and youth. VOA-NCNN provides shelter or housing to over 2,800 men, women and children every night. We are more than a nonprofit organization. We are a ministry of service that includes nearly 16,000 paid, professional employees dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. We have all "volunteered" to answer the call to serve.
