The Palmdale City Library is looking for 5-10 volunteers to make a weekly commitment of 4 hours a week between 8-8pm, helping with summer program preparation and handing out to the public. Attention to detail, thoroughness, and the ability to complete repetitive tasks is necessary. A positive, helpful attitude is also desired. Training for this volunteer position will be held on May 18, 25, 30th from 5-6 PM

Your time investment will help us host successful summer programs for our patrons!

A successful Volunteer Summer Programming Aide will have the ability to:

  • Cut, prepare, group, and stuff program bags in a timely manner.

  • Willingness to complete repetitive tasks.

  • Follow written and verbal directions.

  • Think on their feet and exercise sound judgment.

  • Flexibility to help at events a plus (if applicable).

  • Interact in a friendly, patient manner with a diverse range of individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills and conduct themselves in a professional, friendly, patient manner at all times.
