VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION
Image Impact seeks a recruiter to identify mentors for our cornerstore program, Mentoring 4 Impact (a structured mentoring and career readiness program for City University of New York students living with disabilities). The Mentor Recruiter will select experienced career professionals from a wide range of industries to empower students to become self-advocates and successfully attain jobs and internships.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and compile a list of local and national sources to recruit volunteer Mentors for our Mentoring 4 Impact program
- Post Mentor opportunities and promotional information about the program with those identified sources
- Conduct interviews using various reliable personnel selection tools/methods
- Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
- Compile list of Alumni Association contacts at selected City University of New York colleges. Conduct email and/or phone outreach to Alumni staff as needed
- Other Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven work experience as a Recruiter preferred but not required
- Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong research and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Networking connections to alumni or other groups preferred but not required
Volunteer Details
- Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 virtual hours per week
- Must be willing to provide two references
