Urgent Volunteers needed for COVID-19 Test Kits Preparation for Schools in the Bay Area
Hello Community members,
As Bay Area schools are back in session, there is an EXTREMELY HIGH demand for COVID-19 testing to keep our schools and communities safe.
We and our partner organization, Predicine, are in urgent need of YOUR help in making COVID-19 testing kits that will be used at testing 150 plus sites located throughout Bay Area schools. We need approximately 50,000 plus test kits for weekly testing.
Your volunteer time will have a direct impact on your community during the pandemic.
In terms of COVID-19 testing kit production, we haven’t had any volunteers come in this week to make testing kits, which puts our Medical testing staff and volunteers in a tough spot since they rely on those kits to test school children and faculty/staff.
Anyone (who is fully vaccinated) is welcome to help and come for the free food and beverages that will be provided!

At the moment, we have the following COVID-19 related opportunities:
- COVID-19 Testing (Volunteers with healthcare experience): Volunteers that have health care experience (CMA, CNA, LVN, RN, etc) can help with COVID-19 testing: PCR testing (anterior nasal and oral-pharyngeal swabbing) and Rapid antigen testing (anterior nasal). Training will be provided, if needed.
- COVID-19 Testing (Volunteers with no healthcare experience): Volunteers that do not have prior health care experience can help with COVID-19 testing: PCR testing (anterior nasal and oral-pharyngeal swabbing) and Rapid antigen testing (anterior nasal). We will provide training.
- Medical Support Staff: Volunteers can help enter patient demographics (name, DOB, insurance information, etc) into the Predicine database (Drchrono.com), as well as support medical staff.
- Rapid Response Team: Due to the unpredictable schedule of COVID-19 testing in schools, we will form a special group of people to notify at the last minute. On-call volunteers will be notified last minute to go to certain school areas located nearby to assist with COVID-19 testing. By signing up to become a part of the Rapid Response team, you will receive more frequent notifications of your help at certain testing sites (we will do our best to accommodate you based on your location).
