About

Be a Girl Scout leader and guide a group of girls in the process to plan, implement and evaluate activities; to carry out Girl Scout program and to help girls grow and mature into girls of confidence, courage and character who make the world a better place.

You can lead girls on your own or with a group of friends. This is a great opportunity for teachers, college students, professionals, parents wanting to spend more time with their daughters or grandparents or other adult female role models wanting to inspire a new generation of girls.

As a troop leader you will - Prepare and guide girls in planning,and carrying out group meetings - help girls understand their role in the troop/group and develop their leadership abilities - motivate girls to examine and understand the values expressed in the Girl Scout Promise & Law using the Girl Scout Leadership Program.

Troop Leaders work with girls in groups 5 to 17 (you choose the age level) you wish to work with. You can meet near your home or work (choose the school you would like to work with). Meetings are usually once a week or bi-weekly for about one hour to a hour and a half throughout the school year.
