The Role
Save the Water(tm) is seeking a Development Associate Director: Special Projects (Technology)to build and grow the organization’s presence through fundraising and engagement efforts from corporations. This highly visible role will require a proactive leader who brings a deep understanding of the technologies used in Save The Water(tm) to identify water contaminants and present them to corporate foundations. They will create a corporate philanthropic giving landscape through the Technology initiatives in order to take a lead role in the building a pipeline of successful fundraising programs.
What you will be responsible for...
- Active participation in the Product Life Cycle management for assigned Technology.
- Research, identify, and solicit partnerships with new external organizations and corporations
- Develop and maintain the required materials/tools to enable Technology sales.
- Pipeline development.
- Manage and grow relationships with an existing portfolio of strategic partners using a proactive and service-oriented approach.
- Develop a precise understanding of the assigned technologies developed at STW(tm).
- Research and prepare presentations to attract corporations and get them interested in our technology.
- Build and manage a portfolio of donors and prospects and close large financial gifts from foundations & corporate donors and manage donor database
- Work with the Development Director to identify and pursue major donors and prospects, and engage them as appropriate in the donor cultivation and solicitation processes.
- Collaborate and partner with internal stakeholders to overlay fundraising strategies over existing digital outreach in a way that increases overall engagement, increases donor conversion rates, and supports long-term strategic network objectives.
- Ensure completion of administrative aspects of fundraising, project management, grants proposal and execution
- Manage a team of 5-10 volunteers, holding them accountable for their work
- Organise and attend virtual meetings as required in the EST timezone.

- Bachelor’s degree required with at least 4 years of progressive successful management experience in fundraising, donor cultivation, sales, marketing or business development
- Candidates with a background of environmental science or engineering preferred.
- Understand key business drivers, market intelligence, insights and industry trends in donor philanthropy.
- Deft computer skills demonstrating comfort with standard office software packages (G-Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), as well as proposal and stewardship administration in systems created for fundraising/relationship management (e.g. SalesForce, Blackbaud, etc.) is preferable
- Strong knowledge of fundraising databases, gift processing, gift acknowledgment, and gift reporting best practices.
- Knowledge of CSR concepts, practices, strategies and tactics based on the understanding of key audiences and corporate objectives
- Effective oral & written communication skills and a clear, courteous and professional manner
- Ability to work and with corporates, foundations, NGOs and governmental organizations
