Join the Underpants Dance II Crew with the St. Loius Area. We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, volunteers who are interested in helping the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank and its initiative the St. Louis Alliance for Period Supplies to fundraise and throw another stellar event in October. This will be a hybrid event on October 22, 2021, and we will hold monthly Zoom meetings until it is safe to meet in person.
Time Commitment: 3-4 hours a month, attend monthly meetings (1 hour), event attendance optional
Purpose: Support in the execution of, planning, and fundraising for the event.
Assist with securing auction items and other fundraisers at the event (games, wine pull, etc.)
Make decisions as a committee about the event itself, such as: menu, event look and feel, run of show, guest speakers, drinks, etc.
Help secure sponsorships for the event
Be passionate and enthusiastic when talking about the Diaper Bank and the event
Promote on social media
Help with any day of event preparations such as coordinating event volunteers, coordinating and set up of silent auction, coordination and running of wine pull, and other fundraising devices
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Mission Statement
The St. Louis Area Diaper Bank exists to help strengthen low-income families in the St. Louis region by ensuring access to an adequate supply of diapers, and by raising awareness about the causes and consequences of diaper need in our community.
Description
The idea to form the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank grew after the Diaper Bank’s founder, Jessica Adams, heard a story on the radio from the director of the National Diaper Bank Network about the prevalence of diaper need across the country. She pointed out that one in three mothers routinely finds herself without enough diapers to keep her child clean and dry.
Stories of families across the country making tough choices between diapers and food or medicine, being forced to leave little ones for far too long in dirty diapers, and even having to reuse soiled diapers because they couldn’t afford to buy more struck a chord with Jessica.
And when she found out that St. Louis didn't already have a diaper bank, Jessica decided to start one herself.
