Volunteers Needed to Tutor Adults in Kent County
Literacy Delaware is looking for adults in Kent County to tutor other adults in either English or reading. Training is provided. A Tutor Orientation will be held via Zoom on Thursday July 22 2021: there are two sessions, attendance at only one is requested. The times are 1:30-2:30 and 6:30-7:30. Interested adults who have at least a GED will need to complete an application and undergo a background check prior to beginning Tutor Training. Upon completion of training, tutors are matched with learners. Learners and tutors will hold their sessions on mutually agreed upon days and times.
*** UPCOMING TUTOR TRAINING *** Orientation: Thursday December 16 1:30 - 2:30 or 6:30 - 7:30; Tutor training sessions held each Thursday in January, 1:30 - 3:00 or 6:30 - 8:00.
