Mint Artists Guild seeks one or two people who are experienced professionals in Wordpress and have some knowledge of WooCommerce and other Wordpress tools to join our team. We are looking for someone to:
- Help us refresh our website and update the look and feel and navigation. You will work hands on with one or two other volunteers who have reviewed the site to upgrade and improve it.
- Review and assist with our online Shop to make it more user friendly and attractive, and possibly create a section for free downloads (like coloring pages) that do not require a checkout.
- Help us develop a new section - likely password protected - for our youth and alumni to share opportunities and resources and downloadable information.
- Volunteer to mentor, train and assist a summer intern, a high school student, during late June and through July so that intern can add some pages and content to our website
This could be a four month volunteer opportunity, ending in mid- to late-August, or six months or ongoing if you like us.

Mission Statement
Mint Artists Guild helps to transform aspiring Detroit youth artists through education, exceptional engagement and experience, resulting in earning opportunities, skill-building, exposure, and mentoring. Mint launches creative careers and lasting connections. Mint also infuses the community with art and creative experiences, enhancing a collaborative, healthy and generous culture.
Description
Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
