Spring Beautification Projects
The Arc of Somerset County
A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
The Arc of Somerset County is looking for volunteers for our springtime beautification projects. We are in need of individual or group volunteers to spruce up the outdoors of our group homes located throughout Somerset County and children’s outdoor sensory garden at the Jerry Davis Center for Children and Families, located in Manville, NJ.
As the COVID-19 virus has overtaken our world, we understand the hesitation on volunteering projects. However, help is needed now more than ever, as we are starting to get back to the life we once knew. Still in the interest of continued protection of the health of vulnerable members of our community and our volunteers, we are only offering outside and virtual projects at the moment.
With our beautification project, our landscaping needs continue to grow for the outside of our homes. Along with the need for landscaping, we are also seeking donations of potted plants, mulch, non-toxic soil, and plantings to fill, exterior garden care items are needed to keep our homes beautiful.
Some projects we offer are:
- Creating a vegetable garden
- Outdoor ground cleanup
- Pulling of weeds and planting new flowers
- Creating plotted planters
- Replenishing and cleaning our sensory playground at our children’s center.
For more information on specific projects and locations, please contact email@example.com or call 908-658-3805.
