Our volunteers assist people on their most difficult days, write articles, provide assistance to military veterans, deploy nationally when disaster strikes, and so much more. If you have strong people skills and want to help ensure that our workforce is engaged and ready to serve our community, please join our team as a Department Volunteer Engagement Lead! You'll play a vital role in delivering our mission by:
Consulting with department managers on position onboarding, planned growth experiences, and volunteer development
Providing consultation, coaching and training resources to promote positive workforce relationships and effective ongoing volunteer engagement
Following up with volunteers and department managers to ensure job satisfaction
Connecting supervisors of volunteers to Volunteer Services HR Relations team for mediation and facilitation of volunteer grievance and performance related issues
Leading ongoing discussions with department managers about volunteer engagement and working to identify what's working and lessons learned
Conducting exit interviews
We anticipate that this work will take roughly 10-hours per month, 100% remote for the time being due to COVID.
