Help answer phone calls from individuals seeking help with rent assistance due to the negative impacts of COVID-19 in the Rochester area

When: We need your help now through the end of August!

Times: Looking for 9 hours per week at a minimum. Shifts available below
Mon:1pm-4pm
Tues:1pm-4pm
Wed: 9am-1pm or 1pm-4pm
Thur: 9am-1pm or 1pm-4pm
Fri: 9am-1pm or 1pm-4pm

Essential Volunteer Duties & Requirements

  • Answers calls in a call center type environment. Requires volunteers who are compassionate, well spoken and thrive in an energetic environment. Customer service and bi lingual skills are a plus.
  • Conducts a basic assessment of callers to gain understanding of their housing situation, financial assets and where they are in their eviction process
  • Enters callers’ basic demographic into a database, requires basic computer data entry skills
  • Directs callers to the next step for assistance either to external providers or into CFC’s program for help

Work environment is COVID 19 precaution compliant. Training and support provided.

Customer service and bilingual skills are a plus.
