Suffield Second Chance Shop is looking for a volunteer to join our shop marketing team, with the goal of driving traffic to our shop, and the ultimate aim of generating funds for local nonprofit, The Village for Families & Children. The Village has a variety of programs in Greater Hartford aimed at helping children, adults, and families, and serves thousands of people each year.

We are looking for someone who can send shop email blasts (experience with MailChimp or similar email software is a plus); promote sales and shop happenings in local papers and online; and generate ideas for ways to spread the word about the shop. Prior marketing or communications experience is a plus.

With this opportunity, you will be joining a team of 100+ volunteers who operate Suffield Second Chance Shop, with the mission of supporting The Village for Families & Children. You’ll also be invited to exclusive events to learn more about The Village, as well as member social events.

Membership Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A minimum of one-year commitment is requested.
• Members are required to pay $15/year in dues. These dues help fund member mailing costs, a membership directory, and social events.
• Ability to follow The Village for Families & Children’s Code of Ethics, and act in a manner appropriate as a shop representative.
