Social Media Marketing & Influencer Volunteer

Do you love thrift stores, and have a passion for social media? Suffield Second Chance Shop is looking for 2-3 volunteers to join our social media marketing & influencer team, with the goal of driving traffic to our shop, and the ultimate aim of generating funds for local nonprofit, The Village for Families & Children. The Village has a variety of programs in Greater Hartford aimed at helping children, adults, and families overcome the challenges life brings.

This volunteer would be able to visit the shop in Suffield on a weekly basis to photograph and highlight a variety of items in the shop (of their choosing). This volunteer will have access to our Facebook and Instagram accounts for posting, but is also welcome to use their own accounts to share content, and will be considered an official shop representative/influencer. This is a great opportunity to leverage & grow your own following while supporting an organization that impacts thousands of children & families each year.

With this opportunity, you will be joining a team of 100+ volunteers who operate Suffield Second Chance Shop, with the mission of supporting The Village for Families & Children. You’ll also be invited to exclusive events to learn more about The Village, as well as member social events.

Membership Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age. (Age limits may be flexible for the right candidate).
• A minimum of one-year commitment is requested.
• Members are required to pay $15/year in dues. These dues help fund member mailing costs, a membership directory, and social events.
• Ability to follow The Village for Families & Children’s Code of Ethics, and act in a manner appropriate as a shop representative.
