Domestic Violence Advocate Training with Narika

Narika's Domestic Violence Advocate Training is a great opportunity to earn an official, lifelong certificate from the state of California to become a Domestic Violence Counselor. After completing 40 hours of virtual training, graduates shall receive a Certificate of Completion that will enable them to pursue volunteer and employment opportunities which involve working directly with survivors of domestic violence in California.

The training will take place virtually on Thursdays and Fridays starting July 28th- August 26th from 9 am-3 pm PST. The training dates are July 28, 29, August 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26.

This training will be led virtually and you must attend all sessions in full in order to qualify for the certificate- sign up for one of our future cohorts now!

Narika is looking for Board members!

We have multiple board positions open and are looking for talented and dedicated individuals, who are committed to furthering Narika's mission to promote women's independence, economic empowerment, and well-being by helping domestic violence survivors with advocacy, support, and education.

The Board plays an active role and governance in the leadership of Narika and we constantly strive to end the cycle of domestic violence.

Narika is a 29 year old organization and by joining the board you will be able to:

  1. Get to know prominent members in the South Asian Community
  2. Leverage your leadership skills by helping define Narika refine its practices and policies
  3. Contribute your expertise, skills and connections and resources to a worthy cause
  4. Help amplify the voices of those who are in a vulnerable period in their lives and ensure survivors receive help and support
  5. Utilize and enhance your fundraising skills to help Narika remains a strong and robost organization
