Are you a dog lover? If so, we are recruiting volunteers in your area to walk our patient’s dogs. We are excited to offer this unique volunteering opportunity through a new program we have started to offer called Pet Peace of Mind, which keeps pets with their families longer and encourages that established bond of pet/owner, which can be especially important near the end of life. This role will be to assist in caring for the pet, either dog or cat to help the owner when needed. This volunteer opportunity could involve walking, transportation to and from veterinarian and/or grooming appointments. All necessary training will be provided, including basic dog handling skills prior to initial visit. If you’re looking to get outside and get a little exercise, this is the opportunity for you! Please contact Sarah Foster, Volunteer Coordinator for additional information about this opportunity.
