Registered Nurses are needed to serve as Mercy Volunteers in the Mother-Baby Unit at Mercy Medical Center and in Hospice Care at Stella Maris. Mercy Medical Center is a community hospital located in downtown Baltimore where a diverse population is served. The campus includes a state-of-the-art, 300-bed patient tower. Mercy Medical Center is one of the few hospitals in the nation with a Magnet designation. Stella Maris provides the following services to the aged, infirm, and terminally ill persons: independent living housing units, subacute/rehabilitation, medical day care, and personal care services.
Mercy Volunteers promote social change through one year of service in healthcare, education, and social services. Mercy Volunteers compassionately serve in the spirit of mutuality within economically poor and socially marginalized communities in the United States and South America. Volunteers live together in an intentional community and commit to spiritual growth and a simple/sustainable lifestyle. All volunteers are provided with housing, transportation, monthly stipends, and more.

Description
Mercy Volunteer Corps promotes social change by placing and supporting volunteers for one year of service with people who are experiencing injustices, in any form, in the United States and Guyana, South America. Mercy Volunteers work in education, healthcare, and social services while growing spiritually and living simply in community. While serving, volunteers are provided with housing, transportation, monthly stipends, and health insurance.
