ORGANIZATION: Keep North Fulton Beautiful

KNFB
We are a 501(c)3 environmental non-profit that provides education and conservation programs to the communities of Johns creek and Sandy Springs. We also operate the Sandy Springs Recycling Center.

Come help Sandy Springs shred it up in our document shredding event! Due date to sign up is 9:00 AM March 18. We will be serving people looking to dispose of their sensitive documents in a secure and green way by shredding their materials on site and recycling the paper to be reused once again. This helps us protect both their information and the environment, but we need you to help pull it off!

There will be two volunteer service opportunities at this event: Opening Volunteers and Closing Volunteers. Within each opportunity you will be assigned a specific role for that day’s event ensuring all needs are met. Your service is ESSENTIAL to this event!

Though this is an outdoor event, all volunteers must wear a mask for the duration of the event.

Opening volunteers: 7:30am-11:30am Help us set up our event space!

Place traffic cones and flags, set up tents, ensure cars will flow appropriately through our event space, and prep our space so that it is ready for the community to drive-thru efficiently.

Assist with directional traffic flow, break down cardboard boxes and load them into truck, answer participant questions, run small errands from one place to another to keep us all on track.

Closing Volunteers: 11:30am-3:00pm Help us close our event space and pack up for the day!

You will arrive while the event is happening, so we will brief you on how to take over from the opening crew, and you will keep us flowing until event’s end! You will be assigned a specific role for the event.

Assist with directional traffic flow, break down cardboard boxes and load them into truck, answer participant questions, run small errands from one place to another to keep us all on track.

Remove traffic cones and flags, break down tents, pack up all items brought in from the event space so that it is clear, load empty cardboard boxes into the truck, and ensure every community member has been taken care of.
