The Changing Children’s World Foundation (CCWF) was founded in 2011. Then incorporated & attained tax exempt status in Jan/Feb 2012.
CCWF works with families and communities based on our Community/Caregiver/Child Capacity Development towards Violence Prevention (CCDevVP) framework. CCWF strengthens families (parents & children) through an evidence based International "ICDP-USA: The Best Start for Families - A Health Equity Approach" Program, proven to help children/ youth, families and communities put empathy into action, while promoting non-violence.
"The Best Start for Families - A Health Equity Approach" Program aims to strengthen the empathy-based relationship all child caregivers have with the children they care for so that they may promote positive development and well-being. ICDP is adapted and integrated within communities through the training of each community’s professionals and parents. Changing Children’s Worlds Foundation (CCWF) implements "The Best Start for Families" throughout the Chicagoland area.
CCWF has provided many students with wonderful opportunities for professional growth, academic credit (dependent upon the institution’s approval), and experience working in the nonprofit sector. Interns will have hands-on experience within diverse communities as well as time spent in program development and evaluation.
This is an opportunity for a student or professional focused on Program Evaluation and Writing to assist us in establishing an evidence-based program with further research to support its expansion to more families throughout Illinois.

Mission Statement
CCWF's vision is for every child and adolescent to have a strong network of caregivers engaged in supporting their positive development in nonviolent families and peaceful communities.
Description
CCWF strives to improve children's worlds through awareness raising, education, and training throughout communities worldwide. Through our educational programs we address a universal need for all families to understand their child's needs and to give caregivers the confidence that they can support their child's development. We provide the foundation for participants in our program to give their children more positive life opportunities and experiences than they themselves had. CCWF strives to reduce the incidences of violence, maltreatment, and neglect through strengthening the capacity of parents, caregivers, and communities to care for children's health and emotional well-being.
