In honor of Earth Day, the Water Resources staff that manages the Highland Springs Recreation Area is hosting a stewardship work weekend. Come out and join us in a garbage pick up (in our park, on our trails, and along our reservoir). There will also be opportunity to participate in fire fuel reduction around the park and selected trails. Bags and gloves will be provided for garbage pick up as well as hand tools for fire fuel reduction. Shifts our encouraged to keep the numbers low and to follow Covid-19 safety protocols. You do not have to stay for the whole shift and our encouraged to bring your own tools/equipment if you have them.
