SUMMARY: Self-directed IT intern with a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior leadership. This is an unpaid experience; please consult with academic faculty to determine if this opportunity meets the standards for earning academic credit. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to) : · Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems · Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support · Organize and maintain IT resources · Assist in imaging equipment · Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions · Assist in maintaining inventory records and documentation for equipment · Develop and provide user training for basic hardware and software use · Maintain open communication and positive working relationship with staff · Perform other duties/projects as assigned The intern must attend all required training such as HIPAA and COVID-19 Safety Precautions Training HOURS Flexible. 1-2 days a week; 8-10 hours a week QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: · Currently enrolled in a computer related degree program · Familiar with Windows OS and applications · Familiarity with active directory and domain environment preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS: Able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Communicates effectively with end-users and provide essential customer service duties. REASONING ABILITY: Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables simultaneously. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this internship, the intern is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time and to work extensively with computers. Additionally, the intern may be required to walk for extended periods of times between locations and within the building - up to 2 to 3 miles per day. The intern will be required to frequently lift 20-30 pounds and may be required to lift 50+ pounds. The intern must be able to communicate effectively. The intern needs to have reasonable mobility. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet/moderate
