A media assistant will offer assistance in creating, uploading and sharing posts or news on behalf of the Shepherd's Center of Northern Virginia (SCNOVA). They also work on big picture tasks like assisting the Communication Coordinator in developing a public relations and outreach campaign, doing competitor research, and creating an online voice. Use of Canva is preferred, but training can be offered. 1-2 hours a week working remotely from home.

Description
The Shepherd's Center is a non-profit, volunteer-based, interfaith organization serving older adults in the local community with services to assist them to continue to live independently in their own homes and enrichment programs to stimulate lifelong learning. Services include transportation to medical appointments, companion shopping, food delivery, minor home repairs, friendly callers and visitors, record keeping assistance and support groups. Some of the programs offered are Adventures in Learning classes, quarterly luncheons, and trips.
