The Phoenix is a sober active community new to the San Diego area. We offer fitness classes and social events free with a request that all participants have 48 hours of sobriety prior to class time. We are seeking certified CrossFit coaches, but will also accept any fitness instructors, or folks who would like to get involved through spreading the word, or helping out at events.

The exact location and days/times for these classes has not been decided yet, we are very flexible. Currently we are working with a CrossFit gym in Encinitas, and one in San Diego- we can use either of these locations, or build partnerships with gyms in other areas as needed.

We prioritize folks who have personal experience in some sort of recovery, but also are grateful to have volunteers who consider themselves to be allies of folks in recovery.

Our mission is to provide support to those who choose to live a sober lifestyle and work to destigmatize addiction and recovery.
