Mississippi National River and Recreation Area

Saint Anthony Falls volunteers support park rangers and their interpretation of the site. Shifts are generally 5 hours and duties will include answering visitor questions about the park and the site itself, swearing in junior rangers, monitoring the visitor services station/table while rangers give tours, be stationed on the lock wall to be available to visitors, and help set-up and take down interpretive support materials. Shifts will be available during the day including the weekends with occasional special evening events. Volunteers with previous experience working in the park are preferred but experience is not required. Visitor Center Assistants would be able to select dates that work for them. There is a mandatory training to volunteer at Upper Saint Anthony Falls; volunteers must attend a training before being able to sign-up for shifts that work for them.
