Are you interested in supporting the park Bike With a Ranger program? Bicycle Program Specialist help support Bike with a Ranger programs in a variety of ways including serving as the sweep rider, helping other riders with very basic bike maintenance, encouraging participants and helping point out interest features or points of interest along the route. Bicycle Program Specialist should be comfortable biking up to 20 miles in 3 hours; the routes vary in length, duration and difficulty. Bicycle Program Specialist would be able to select the route and dates that work for them.

Description

The Volunteers-In-Parks program is a joint program with Mississippi Park Connection. Mississippi National River and Recreation Area represents America's greatest river, the Mississippi, which weaves together the natural and cultural heritage and economic vitality of the region. The National Park Service works with partners to foster increased citizen awareness, advocacy, and enjoyment of the resources of the Mississippi River.

Volunteer-In-Parks provides people with opportunities to discover, experience, and enjoy the diversity of the Mississippi River while also preserving it for future generations through volunteer restoration projects and education programs.
