Quick Overview: Dynasty's United Youth Association (DUYA) is looking to fill the Secretary board member position. This virtual volunteer will help the organization with staying organized and keeping each committee on track through project management.

Impact: Dynasty's United Youth Association's mission is to ensure that all children and youth have access to quality programs that promote character and culture competence through academic instruction. We continuously strive to enter the most vulnerable and neglected neighborhoods where the academic, emotional, health, and social needs are not being met and build a bridge of resources that helps students leverage their strengths and find a sense of true purpose that brings meaning to their lives.

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities:

Drafting and sending out agendas before each board meeting

Taking notes and attendance during each board meeting

Keeping track of each committee's projects and tasks

Requirements:

Ability to collaborate and work effectively with the team

Excellent communication skills

Availability to join board meetings (every first and third Thursday of the month at 5:30pm-7pm PT)

Description

COVID Statement: Due to the pandemic, we are currently operating 100% online. Therefore all of the following tasks would be completed virtually until otherwise stated! We are looking volunteers that can help with one or more of the following tasks: -Tutor students individually and in small groups (ages 5-18) -Provide Homework assistance in small groups for students ages 5-18 -Collaborate with team mates and instructors to ensure that students are receiving grade level support according to the students skill set -Keep track of students progress through data analysis and written reports -Facilitate social, communication, and academic workshops; facilitate arts and crafts and specialized projects Additionally, we are always accepting monetary and school supply donations.
