Public relations specialists build and maintain a positive public image for a company or organization. They create media, from press releases to social media messages, that shape public opinion of the company or organization and increase awareness of its brand.
Importance of Position:

In order for Together To Help to be successful in our mission, we must be visible within the communities we serve. This visibility reaches individuals and families we hope to assist in addition to those we hope will help support our mission. The Public Relations volunteer will help Together To Help to be more visible and spread our message.

• Experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or similar field
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Attention to detail
• Desire to support Together To Help mission

Communications Manager

• Write and edit Press Releases
• Write and edit articles for newsletters
• Work with Communications Manager to plan project and event needs
• Develop, review, and enhance content for print, electronic and social media to communicate information to clients, volunteers, and donors
• Maintain a respectful relationship with clients, staff, and other volunteers
• Other duties as assigned
