Secretary
The Board Secretary shall record the minutes of all meetings of the Board of Directors, maintain records of committee meetings, oversee the maintenance of membership lists, provide for the safe keeping of all official contracts and records of the organization and publish notices of scheduled meetings as required in the Bylaws.

Responsibilities

• Assures an agenda has been prepared by the Executive Director/Chairman and that the agenda is distributed in advance of the meeting
• Oversees the distribution of background information for agenda items to be discussed
• Prepares the official minutes of the meeting and records motions, discussions, votes, and decisions
• Prepares and provides the previous meeting’s written minutes to board members before the next meeting and records any changes or corrections
• Assures that documents (bylaws, Form-990, roster of board members) are are accessible to members
• Schedules and notifies board members of upcoming meetings
• Holds members accountable for their tasks
• Make an annual personal financial contribution to organization as a board member
• Contribute in a meaningful way to the development of outside donors
• Participate in the development of policies, procedures and regulations for the organization
• Abide by and enforce the Bylaws of Changing Destinations
• Help to ensure effective fiscal controls and accountability of the organization
