Mission Statement

It’s all about helping people. As healthcare providers, our mission is to care for the neediest among us. We believe recent events can serve as a clarion call for local, state, and national leaders that they bear responsibility for the same kind of mission. May this mark the moment that our nation hears the voices of those who have been left out. Our greatest hope is that we will find peace and justice in the coming days, weeks, and months. Our prayers and condolences go out to all those who have been affected by recent events. Throughout history, great leaders left us with examples of how to pursue justice through peaceful and impactful methods. Let us listen to their voices once again and truly hear - and remember that while we still have far to go, we can only get there together.

Description

Hospice is about family and community...and volunteers bring heart to hospice. Our volunteers provide companionship, emotional support and friendship not only to the patient but the friends, caretakers and family of the patient as well. Our volunteers provide the following services:
Reading, writing letters, playing games
Staying with the patient to allow family/caregiver to run errands or have an outing
Child care to relieve a caregiver
Telephone reassurance
Household assistance and errands
