During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Want to help your neighbor stay in their community? Looking to donate some time and mileage all for a good cause?
As a Hearts and Hands volunteer you can help a neighbor get where they need to go. Whether it is to go to the doctors, grocery shopping, or even to the YMCA you can make a difference and even make a new friend.
Some volunteers bring a neighbor to their destination on the way, and others stay with them for their appointment.
It is easy to get started, just attend a training through Zoom, or with your local office, submit your background check, and about two weeks after that you can start your meaningful experience with Hearts and Hands.
Make a difference in your community and volunteer today!

Hearts and Hands: Faith in Action connects older Americans, those with health concerns, and their care givers in underserved communities with trained volunteers to uphold their dignity to improve quality of life to enhance their ability to live in their home of choice.
Hearts and Hands is a not-for-profit, neighbor-helping-neighbor organization which pairs volunteers with older, frail, and physically challenged adults for door through door transportation and non-medical in-home support. The organization, founded in 2003, provides services to underserved areas in Western New York. Our program is a best efforts and no charge delivery of services. Our focus is on services that enhance nutritional status, foster socialization, increase physical activity, and provide access to medical, dental and other health services. If we cannot provide a requested service, we will refer that request to an agency that is able to meet the need. We work closely with the Alzheimer Association, Meals on Wheels, the Erie Co. Dept. of Senior Services, the local first responders and other area service providers. Currently, the organization serves the areas of Akron-Newstead, Alden, Clarence, Kenmore, Tonawanda, Holland, Marilla, Wales and the Tonawanda Indian Reservation. Hearts and Hands is expanding into Lockport, Amherst, and Boston, NY. Its central offices are at 1412 Sweet Home Road in Amherst, NY. For information, call (716) 406-8311.
We'll work with your schedule.
