CSCAZ values volunteers as an essential part of accomplishing our mission. Through their unique skills and talents, volunteers enhance the work of paid staff and expand our services helping to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.

Purpose of The Position:

Cancer Support Community Arizona (CSCAZ) is a 501c3 non-profit that provides 100% free programming to all those impacted by cancer. The Graphic Design Volunteer is an unpaid virtual position. S/he will work collaboratively with the Marketing/Communications team to develop new and innovative images and fonts while using an existing menu of materials. The volunteer will design graphics to visually communicate CSCAS’s mission and encourage community engagement.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Collaborate with our team to develop fresh new visual imagery
• Design and produce creative high-res digital images
• Maintain standards for fonts and colors within the context of the organization brand
• Communicate any challenges with timing and deliverables to the team
• Assist in new national branding design

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in Web Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, or currently studying Graphic Design
• Graphic design/digital design education
• Professional experience in design fields
• Adobe proficiency: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat
• Comfortable using teleconference technology (i.e., GoToMeeting, Zoom, etc.)
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Expert understanding of spelling, grammar, and punctuation

Special Instructions:

• Access to a computer and software

Time Commitment:

• This is a flexible position
• 2-3 month commitment for an average of 2-4 hours per week, subject to renew and extend by agreement from both parties
