Community Action for Improvement, Inc. is a private non-profit organization founded in 1966. CAFI has provided services for over 25 years to low-income persons in five-county service areas including Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Meriwether, and Troup counties.
CAFI offers many volunteer opportunities both virtual and in person. Opportunities may have different requirements or availability. Please speak to the CAFI volunteer coordinator (volunteerism@cafi-ga.org) for more information.
By using your valued time to assist CAFI in the office, you are supporting staff and allowing us to spend more time directly working on client cases. The volunteer will work in the office preparing documents and packets for clients, filing the necessary paperwork, while occasionally serving in reception greeting clients and answering phone calls.
All volunteers are required to complete an orientation and undergo a background check.

Community Action for Improvement is a Community Action Agency founded in 1966 that provides supportive services to low income families residing in Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Meriwether and Troup Counties. Through personalized case management, energy conservation education, employment readiness programs and youth empowerment services- CAFI provides services at over 5 service center locations throughout the state of Georgia.
