"Which animal is the fastest?" "We missed this so much!" "This is her first time on the carousel."
Do you enjoy making your community smile? Consider joining the volunteer Carousel Crew at Henry Vilas Zoo!
What does the carousel crew at HVZ do? During our Phase 2 reopening, we're in need of volunteers to help operate our carousel and welcome guests. Carousel Crew duties at HVZ include:
Set our guests' visit off right by welcoming them to our newly reopened Children's Zoo
Run the carousel, take tickets and ring the giant bell to get the ride started!
Wipe down carousel animals after each ride.
Work as part of a team of staff and volunteers.
Thank guests for visiting and supporting HVZ
Volunteer Hours Carousel shifts are available Fridays through Sundays, 9:30AM-1PM and 1-4:30PM. Minimum shift requirement is every other week for 6 months (about 7hrs/month).
