Baby Kits for new moms in need

No-Sew Blankets for the unhoused

Super-Hero Cape Kits for children

Seed Balls DIY Kits for environmental education programs

After-School Activity Kits for underserved children

WHY: We initially planned this drive-in project to be part of our MLK Day of Service in January, but we postponed it due to COVID restrictions. Now that Los Angeles is in the Orange tier, we are happy to host this opportunity for people to drive-in and serve - while remaining socially distant - to both honor Dr. King and provide much needed supplies to support communities in need.

COVID-19 SAFETY: Here are the guidelines we follow to ensure we provide a safe event for all volunteers.

TEAMS/GROUPS: When you sign-up, below, it will be for 1 vehicle. Each vehicle can bring up to 4 people from one household to participate (babies not included as participants). Only one person per car/household needs to sign-up. After you sign-up, you will be asked to let us know how many people from your household will be in your car.

PROJECT FEE: We're asking volunteers to "pay what you can" this year. A contribution of $5/participant would help us cover costs for supplies. After you've signed up below, you will receive an auto email that includes a payment link. Upon making payment, you will receive a confirmation email that you will need to show at check-in to enter the event.

CHECK-IN: Please plan on arriving at the time you signed up for. No early arrivals; you will need to wait for the previous session to end and sanitation to take place before entering.

DRESS CODE: Everyone attending must wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth at all times. As you will be working with items that may get your clothes dirty, please dress casually, with closed-toed shoes.

ACCESSIBILITY: L.A. Works firmly believes that we strengthen the social fabric of our community by involving all in service. If you feel you need accommodations to participate in this project please email us at info@laworks.com.

LOCATION: You will be emailed the address on where to go to participate as we get closer to the date of the event.
