ORGANIZATION: Pflugerville Pets Alive

Pflugerville Pets Alive! (PPA) is a volunteer run foster based animal welfare private non-profit organization. PPA currently takes in around 200 pets each year and provides a full range of animal services for the community (spay and neuter certificates, pet supplies, microchip clinics, food pantry, etc) in Central Texas. PPA does an annual microchip clinic before the 4th of July in Pflugerville or the Pflugerville area. The Microchip Clinic Lead will oversee the recruitment and retention of volunteers to meet the needs of various needs of a microchip clinic (ie, traffic control, marketing, data entry, microchippers, tag engravers, etc).

We are searching for an enthusiastic Event Lead with a "can-do" attitude to assist our organization in hosting a free contactless Microchip event that promotes PPA community resource image and enhances our brand-to-client experience. The Event Lead will be tasked with researching and securing venues, planning and managing our events' calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking, and delivering on event brief objectives. Your creativity, organizational skills, and vision will assist our organization in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing client and employee relations, and improve our organization's growth through events that effectively communicate business strategy and brand personality.

The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, and excellent time-management. The noteworthy Event Lead should reinforce client-to-business relations, improve the organization's image, and effectively deliver on event objectives.

We do annual microchip clinics the Saturday before the 4th of July and need someone to plan and manage this event. Past events have done around 100 chips in a few hours and we hope to do the same this year.
