Assistance League of Pomona Valley operates a small Dental Clinic providing no-cost dental care to very low income level families in the Pomona Valley area, including children/students, adults and seniors. We are significantly expanding the clinic to increase the number of adults and seniors served, and we are looking for volunteer staff to support the dental center operation 1 to 2 days a week. We are looking for volunteers who: 1. Fluency in Spanish is required
2. Comfortable working with low-poverty level income families including children/students and adults/seniors 3. Has some experience in a dental office or similar office environment, with maintaining files and computer records, and contact with patients to help fill out information forms 4. Someone who is familiar with, or interested in learning, basic Medi-Cal/Denti-Cal billing 5. Someone who is compassionate and willing to help less fortunate families in our communities

Description
Assistance League of Pomona Valley is a chapter of the National Assistance League. We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families throughout the Pomona Valley area.
Each year we hold several fundraising events including a Tea Party and Golf Tournament in order to raise vitally needed funds for our philanthropic programs. We operate a dental clinic that offers free dental care to children, adults and seniors, and we provide new school clothing to children through our Operation School Bell program. We also provide books through our literacy program and family care kits that include household items.
