We are looking for volunteers who can bring some love and light through music to our hospice patient's. Music therapy is such a wonderful way to reduce anxiety and pain while bringing joy to someone sick. Even if you cannot play an instrument, you can even play music on your phone.

Often times you can help a patient relive their younger years through music. You don't have to be a musical scholar just the love of music.

About Enhabit Home Health & Hospice

Location:

1311 2nd Avenue, Suite B, Cullman, AL 35055, US

Mission Statement

At Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, we believe hospice is not a place, but rather a philosophy of care. Our goal is to bring dignity and comfort home by offering compassionate care to patients and their families during the final stages of life.

Description

Enhabit is looking for direct patient and administrative volunteers to provide support to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much time and what types of things you want to do. Weekly patient calls, flexible free training. Enhance your resume and scholarship applications.

A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
