To provide companionship, socialization and emotional support to terminally ill patient's and their families. During this Covid19 season we are only allowing outside or porch visits with social distancing in place. As you may well know our elderly and sick friends are suffering from isolation. To be able to just sit with someone during the hardest part of their lives can brings comfort and even joy.

About Encompass Health Hospice

1611 2nd Avenue, Suite B, Cullman, AL 35055, US

Mission Statement

At Encompass Health Hospice, we believe hospice is not a place but rather a philosophy of care. Our goal is to bring dignity and comfort home by offering compassionate care to patient's and their families during the final stages of their life.

Encompass Health Hospice is looking for Direct patient care and Administrative support volunteers to provide services to patients during their final stages of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members as well as clerical support for the administrative staff. As a hospice volunteer you will be given a choice as how much time you wish to donate and what type of services you would like to provide.

A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
