We are looking for volunteers to visit our hospice patients that are military veteran's. Enhabit is involved in a program called We Honor Veteran's to ensure no veteran dies alone. We provide a small ceremony thanking the patient for their service, provide a certificate of appreciation as well as listen to their stories. We have a retired Colonel who will visit with you and give them their last salute. If you loved our armed forces this opportunity if for you!

Mission Statement
At Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, we believe hospice is not a place, but rather a philosophy of care. Our goal is to bring dignity and comfort home by offering compassionate care to patients and their families during the final stages of life.
Description
Enhabit is looking for direct patient and administrative volunteers to provide support to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much time and what types of things you want to do. Weekly patient calls, flexible free training. Enhance your resume and scholarship applications.
A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
