Volunteer Contribution: Volunteer teams will work with House Leaders to accomplish tasks scheduled for the day. Activities include home building tasks like raising walls, installing sheathing, raising trusses, installing decking, installing shingles, and more!
Benefits: A profound sense of accomplishment in team building to make a difference in lives of under served families in Houston. Volunteers will have a new sense of connection with their group and our Family Partners.

Description
Individuals, businesses, and groups in our community have joined Houston Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place people call home. Since 1987, Houston Habitat has provided more than 1,100 affordable single-family homes through its homeownership program and repaired countless others through its home repair program, including over 500 damaged by Hurricane Harvey.
Through shelter, Houston Habitat empowers people to build a better future for themselves and their families by completing financial and home maintenance training, building their homes alongside volunteers and purchasing their homes with an affordable mortgage. With this hand up, they achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance.
