We need volunteers to create artwork to welcome residents of Hearth at Four Corners into their new home. We plan to have at least one form of artwork taped to each door to brighten their day! Be creative as you would like, but we request that you avoid religious or holiday themed artwork, anything discriminatory, no bad/foul language.
Hearth at 4 Corners is our newest site and slated to open in May 2021. We will have 54 units of supportive, affordable housing for older adults of which, eight units will be set aside to house formerly homeless individuals and eleven units are for clients of the Department of Mental Health. All residents will have 24/7 access to on-site concierge services and a Resident Service Coordinator; additional wellness services will also be available. The new housing development will serve individuals age 62 or older who have either low or middle-income housing needs.
Help us build community and welcome our new neighbors in to Dorchester's Four Corners Neighborhood!
Please send Artwork to our administrative offices:

Mission Statement
Hearth is a non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of homelessness among the elderly. This mission is accomplished through a unique blend of prevention, placement, and housing programs all designed to help elders find and succeed in homes of their own. To this end, all housing operated by Hearth provides a creative array of supportive services that assist residents to age with dignity, regardless of their special medical, mental health, or social needs. Hearth believes these goals are best accomplished through respect for elders and staff, with the desire to see both achieve their highest degree of potential.
Description
About Hearth:
Since 1991, we’ve created 228 units of permanent affordable homes across Greater Boston, each with the support services this unique population needs. Hearth is committed to placing elders in service-enriched housing, promoting as much self-sufficiency as possible by providing or connecting elders with the services they require: Health and Behavioral Health Services. Individual service plans are created to fit the unique needs of each resident.
Hearth’s Outreach & Prevention Programs provide a comprehensive set of services to homeless and at-risk elders to help them reestablish their lives within permanent and affordable housing in and around the City of Boston.
As of 2021, marking our 30th year, we have housed over 2,800 elders and provided additional services to even more!
About Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteer opportunities will typically be with residents at Hearth or administrative work with staff. You can find a list of all our sites at www.hearth-home.org/hearth-housing.
