The Strategic Recruitment Volunteer will help the Community Engagement Associate to promote organizational mission and volunteer opportunities to the community. This will be accomplished by reviewing existing data of our current volunteer population, develop a recruitment plan, and assist with outreach. They will craft specific messaging to help us increase our volunteer staffing at the top 20 most profitable Red Kettle bell ringing locations by 10%.
Specific Duties
- Learn about partner organizations in Twin Cities metro and identify key contacts for outreach.
- Develop a recruitment plan including specific messaging to churches, businesses, schools, civic groups, etc.
- Perform weekly recruitment outreach through phone calls, emails, letters, and possibly in person.
- Other administrative duties related to volunteer recruitment and tracking as assigned.
Qualifications Sought
- Previous experience or interest in nonprofits, volunteerism, recruitment, or research
- Ability to organize time and work independently, follow directions and complete tasks in an effective manner.
- Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Applications
- Access to computer and ability to conduct external internet research.
- Basic knowledge of local organizations, civic groups, and institutions in the Twin Cities helpful, but not required.
