As part of our COVID response and recovery work, InterFaith Works Senior Services Department has started a "Digital Inclusion" Class, designed to help older adults improve their digital literacy and access to technology. We enroll 10 older adults, give them a new tablet and a 3-month internet plan, and provide weekly class plus one-on-one coaching. The class is primarily on-line, though the first two classes will be in-person, in small groups of 5, to orient participants to their devices and teach basic zoom skills. We are looking for a volunteer to help support our 12-week next class, which will run April 12-June 18, 2021 . Duties include:
- Commitment: 6 hours per week.
- Attend and support the class. Class will be in-person for the first two weeks, then via zoom
- Tentative class schedule: Mondays at 12:30-1:30 pm, with additional class times during the first two weeks
- Work one-on-one with up to 4 participants during weekly coaching sessions
- Join a weekly planning meeting
