White Pony Express feeds, clothes, and uplifts the lives of our neighbors in great need, reduces landfill and greenhouse gas emissions, and provides opportunities for the community to participate by connecting abundance and need.
In the early afternoon on May 1st, White Pony Express - and some very special guests - will help distribute groceries, clothing, and toys to the community. Our goal is to serve 500+ families on this beautiful spring day!

This event will be held in Concord at a high school in one of the highest-need neighborhoods. We’ll set up multiple stations in order to offer groceries, clothing, toys, and books - and there will be uplifting music, streamer dancers, and a lot of welcoming volunteers to share cheer! We will also need volunteer assistance packing up our trucks the day before this event, on April 30th.
The event will shine a light on this hard-working community and all of the residents that volunteer with White Pony Express. We hit a milestone recently when we rescued and delivered 15 million pounds of food to our neighbors in need (12.5 million free, nutritious, fresh meals!) and we feel the best way to celebrate is to Give More!

Description
At White Pony Express, we rescue fresh surplus food from supermarkets, restaurants, and farmers’ markets and deliver it free of charge to organizations that feed the hungry. We also collect and distribute high-quality clothing, children's toys, and books.
We were founded by Dr. Carol Weyland Conner in 2013. Dr. Conner conceived this model as an excellent way to help eliminate hunger and poverty by delivering the abundance all around us to our neighbors in need. From our first day, Dr. Conner has stressed that more important than the food and clothing we deliver is the love we give. Love is at the heart of a family, and we are one family.
Beyond our goal of helping others, WPE aims to create opportunities for selfless service. Hundreds of volunteers make White Pony Express possible. They volunteer with us because they believe in our mission. They know they are helping others who have urgent needs at this time in their lives.
